We are currently fostering a Blue Nose Pitbull Mix who was named Pepero by his founder. She found him in the Lakewood/Bellflower area of California in November of 2024 and he has been fostered by us ever since. We were originally only supposed to foster Pepero for one weekend but we have been caring for him every since that day.
We dont really know much at all about Peperos background or beginning to his life. He was found living on the streets, figuring things out on his own without much kindness from the world. After everything he’s been through, Pepero is still ready to trust, he just needs the right person to give him a chance.
Today, Pepero is learning what it means to be safe and loved. He’s wiggly, chatty, and full of personality. One moment he’ll flop over dramatically for belly rubs, the next, he’ll woo and chatter to tell you all about his day. Pepero may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he’s a loyal, affectionate friend who forms a strong bond with his person.

Peperos Ideal situation
- A calm, patient home where he can feel safe and understood
- Best as an only pet, but has successfully learned to live and get along with a resident dog and cat after slow introductions.
- Shows more subordinate behaviors towards main female of the house RedBull who is a very dominant and typically hyper animal reactive dog
- A patient and supportive caregiver. Pepero can be a bit sensitive in new or exciting environments and does best with a calm person who helps him feel confident & secure.
- He would likely do best with a family that understands the breed, their tendencies, and behaviors
- Pepero has had some training but nothing consistent enough to really get results. We will be looking to work with him more consistently now that we have had him for so long hopefully creating content to share his progress along the way.
